Epic IT has been delivering managed IT and cybersecurity services to Australian businesses since 2003. Over that time we have been independently recognised by industry awards programmes, security and safety organisations, and major technology vendors. This page lists the awards, accreditations, vendor partnerships, and community contributions that sit behind our work.
For editorial press coverage (Forbes, ARN, technical commentary), see Epic IT in the press.
The Fast50 is Australia’s longest-running ranking of the country’s fastest-growing IT companies. Originally run by CRN Australia and now published by techpartner.news, the programme is in its 17th year and remains the only Australian IT awards programme that ranks companies purely on hard revenue numbers. No judging panel. No subjective category. You either grew or you did not.
Epic IT has appeared on the Fast50 four times across more than a decade, spanning two ownership eras of the awards programme:
| Year | Programme | Result |
|---|---|---|
| 2013 | CRN Fast50 | Fast50 member |
| 2018 | CRN Fast50 | Fast50 member |
| 2024 | CRN Fast50 | 42nd overall |
| 2025 | techpartner.news Fast50 | 33rd overall, 6th in Momentum Builders |
Four appearances across 12 years is a different signal to a single spike. It reflects a business that has continued to invest, continued to win new clients, and continued to deliver. In the 2025 ranking, Epic IT reported FY25 revenue of $6.7 million with 17 percent year-on-year growth, placing 6th in the Momentum Builders category (companies with FY24 revenue between $3 million and $7 million).
The Australia-wide 2025 cohort reported combined revenue of $1.2 billion with an average growth rate of 67 percent. Epic IT’s sustained presence on this list while remaining Perth-based, in a market several times smaller than Sydney or Melbourne, is something we are quietly proud of.
The IFAP Safeway Awards (now Safe Work and Health Awards) are Western Australia’s longest-running workplace health and safety recognition programme, run by the Industrial Foundation for Accident Prevention. Epic IT has been recognised across four consecutive cycles:
For a Perth-based IT services business, WHS recognition is not a typical category. We pursued it because we believe workplace health and safety culture is a leading indicator of how a business treats its people, and we wanted that visible.
In 2020 Microsoft selected Epic IT as one of the partners chosen to promote managed cybersecurity services to Australian businesses. The recognition reflected our early investment in cybersecurity-first managed services, well before mandatory ransomware reporting and Essential Eight became default expectations.
ARN (Australian Reseller News) featured Epic IT in its Partner Spotlight series in June 2021, in a profile written by Sasha Karen. The Partner Spotlight series profiles partners operating in the local channel landscape from Cape York to Hobart, Byron Bay to Fremantle. Epic IT was selected as one of the Western Australian operators worth highlighting.
Epic IT is a Microsoft Solutions Partner with the Modern Work designation. The Solutions Partner programme replaced the legacy Gold and Silver competencies in late 2022, and is a more demanding framework. Partners earn each designation through a Partner Capability Score combining performance metrics, skilling certifications, and verified customer success outcomes, with a minimum threshold of 70 points required.
The Modern Work designation specifically recognises proven capability in delivering Microsoft 365, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, and modern productivity infrastructure. For Epic IT, this is the technical layer beneath everything we deploy in client Microsoft environments.
Our Microsoft Solutions Partner — Security designation is currently in progress. The Security designation requires demonstrated capability across Microsoft Defender, Microsoft Sentinel, and the broader Microsoft security stack. We expect to add this designation in the next reporting cycle.
Epic IT operates an Information Security Management System (ISMS) built and maintained in alignment with ISO 27001. Our certification audit is currently in progress and we expect formal certification in the near future. We will update this page when certification is confirmed.
For businesses tendering for government work, regulated sectors, or larger enterprise contracts where ISO 27001 is a requirement, this matters. We have built our information security practices to the standard rather than retrofitting them, which means the certification audit is a verification step rather than a remediation exercise.
Our service delivery is built on a curated stack of vendor partnerships chosen for technical depth, support quality, and alignment with how we deliver managed services. These are the partners whose tools sit inside our managed environments and where we have meaningful working relationships:
Partnerships are chosen and renewed based on whether the vendor continues to be the right answer for our clients. We do not list partnerships we do not actively use, and we do not chase logo-on-the-website partnerships that have no operational substance.
Epic IT is an active sponsor of the West Coast Eagles, supporting the club’s role in Western Australian sport and community. The partnership reflects our long-standing commitment to backing the institutions that matter to Perth and to our team.
We have also contributed to local community causes including the Bassendean Primary School community and the HBF Run For A Reason charity event. These contributions are smaller in scale than our WHS sponsorship and Eagles partnership, but reflect the kind of local engagement we believe a Perth business should maintain.
Awards, accreditations, and vendor partnerships are not the only criteria for choosing a managed IT services provider. We have a separate buyer’s guide covering the structural questions to ask.
But they are useful signals when used correctly. Awards from credible programmes (Fast50, WHS) demonstrate sustained performance. Microsoft Solutions Partner status demonstrates current verified technical capability rather than legacy competency. ISO 27001 alignment demonstrates a mature information security management system. Vendor partnerships demonstrate where a provider has put time and skin in.
What they do not demonstrate, on their own: cultural fit, service delivery quality at your specific scale, contract structure, exit terms, or how the provider handles the hard conversations. That is the work that happens during due diligence, not award-counting.
Whether you are evaluating a managed services provider, considering switching from your current one, or running an independent due diligence exercise on a shortlist that does not include us, we are happy to help.
