Epic IT’s commitment to preventing modern slavery and human trafficking across our operations and supply chain. Aligned with the Modern Slavery Act 2018 (Cth).
Last updated: 29 May 2026
Epic IT Pty Ltd (ABN 40 121 238 293) values human rights and holds itself to high standards of ethical, professional, and legal conduct. We have a zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery in any form, whether in our own operations or anywhere in our supply chain.
This policy sets out how we think about, and work to prevent, the risk of modern slavery. It reflects our approach to the Modern Slavery Act 2018 (Cth) and should be read alongside our related internal policies and our Privacy Policy.
The purpose of this policy is to make clear that Epic IT will not tolerate modern slavery in our business or our supply chain, and to outline the steps we take, and continue to develop, to prevent, detect, and address it. It also helps our people understand their role in upholding that commitment.
This policy applies to everyone who works for or with Epic IT, including employees, contractors, consultants, suppliers, and business partners. Everyone acting on behalf of Epic IT is expected to read, understand, and comply with it.
Modern slavery, as defined by the Modern Slavery Act 2018 (Cth), is a serious crime and a violation of fundamental human rights. It covers a range of exploitative practices, including:
We recognise that modern slavery harms individuals, distorts markets, and damages the communities in which we operate. Tackling it is part of acting ethically and with integrity.
Epic IT is committed to ensuring that modern slavery has no place in our business, our supply chain, or the relationships we hold with contractors and partners. We work towards this commitment through measures that include:
No one working for or with Epic IT may engage in any practice that amounts to modern slavery. This includes, but is not limited to:
Supply chain. As a managed IT services provider, our supply chain is relatively straightforward. We procure hardware, software licensing, and cloud services from established distributors and vendors, the majority of whom operate in Australia, the United States, and the United Kingdom. These are regulated markets with their own modern slavery and labour obligations, which lowers the baseline risk. We recognise that some technology hardware is manufactured in higher-risk regions. Where we identify a supplier located in, or sourcing from, a higher-risk country, we may ask them to complete a modern slavery supplier questionnaire so we can better understand the risk and the steps in place to manage it.
Our workforce. We assess the risk of modern slavery within our directly employed workforce as low. The Australian labour market is highly regulated, and our staff are employed under conditions that meet or exceed Australian workplace law. Our reporting channels, described below, give employees and other stakeholders a clear and safe way to raise concerns without fear of recrimination.
We aim to help our people recognise the signs of modern slavery and understand how to respond. Where relevant, staff involved in procurement, supplier management, and recruitment are given guidance suited to their role, so the people closest to the risk are better placed to act on it.
Anyone who suspects that Epic IT, or any party connected to Epic IT, has breached this policy or is involved in modern slavery should report it as soon as possible to info@epicit.com.au.
Reports are taken seriously and handled confidentially. No one will be penalised for raising a genuine concern in good faith, even if it later turns out to be mistaken.
Any breach of this policy is treated seriously. Conduct that contravenes it may be regarded as misconduct and can lead to disciplinary action, up to and including termination. Individuals may also face criminal or civil liability for breaching the Act.
Epic IT reviews its policies and procedures to maintain sound governance around our modern slavery commitments. Management reviews and updates this policy from time to time to keep it current with our business and our obligations.
