WHS Foundation Awards

The WHS Foundation, formerly known as IFAP, have hosted the IFAP/CGU SafeWay Awards for over 40 years.

In 2022, the awards were renamed ‘WHS Awards’ to align with their new WHS Foundation brand and the new WHS harmonised legislation for WA, which increases focus on the ‘health’ aspect of health & safety.

The WHS Foundation vision is Safer Healthier Work. The inaugural WHS Awards 2024 encourage, recognise and reward individual and organisational efforts and achievements to improve work health and safety.

The WHS Awards 2024 comprise of 12 contemporary award categories relevant to and recognising all types of business and industry.

Award finalists were announced ahead of the WHS Awards 2024 Gala Event. Award winners were then announced on the night.

Thank you to all who nominated. The nominations were massive and the process took some time due to the overwhelming numbers and the high standard and excellent quality of the applications this year.

Winners were announced at the Gala Event which was held on Saturday 26 October 2024 at Crown Perth.

Congratulations to all the finalists and winners from Epic IT, WHS Foundation, their Gold event partner CGU Insurance, Silver event partners Fire & Safety Australia, and Railtrain Holdings Group, along with the rest of the twelve Bronze individual award partners (including Epic IT).

Sponsoring this event now for 4 years running, Epic IT had the pleasure in presenting once again the awards (handed out by our founding director Greg Markowski -> aka the guy in the grey suit!) in Innovation & Technology field which was split across 3 categories: Technology, Engineering and Automation & Robotics.

Massive congratulations to the respective winners Department of Communities (for their remote worker safety), Goldstar (for their Trailer Fall Protection System), Dredge Robotics (for their underwater dredging robots).

This year WHS Foundation manage to put together another record breaking event hosting a room of over 480 guests. Epic IT cannot wait to partner again with WHS Foundation and be part of this fantastic event in 2025.
